Sunny Gandara, a native of Norway, has resided in New York for the past 25+ years. A professionally trained chef through the Institute for Culinary Education in NYC and a wine professional, she is a Certified Wine Educator through the Society of Wine Educators, and holds her WSET Diploma. She is also a Vinitaly Italian Wine Ambassador, and have gained both her Italian and French Wine Scholar certifications through the Wine Scholar Guild.

Sunny has worked in many facets of the wine industry for importers, distributors and as a wine buyer in retail. For several years she was the United States Brand Director for Querciabella, a world-renowned vegan and organic winery located in Tuscany as well as the Global Wine Director for Matthew Kenney Cuisine, a plant-based hospitality group with over 25 restaurants across five continents.

An entrepreneur at heart, she also ran her own catering company, Fork and Glass, for five years, located in the Hudson Valley which  focused on local and seasonal farm-to-table cooking.

Sunny is certified in Plant-based Nutrition through eCornell, a trained Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and the author of the popular plant-based Norwegian food blog, Arctic Grub.

Today she is proud to have founded her new brand, The Plant Curious Table, providing food and wine education and consulting services to both private and corporate groups.
